Asian Women Directors is a living digital archive created to celebrate Asian women filmmakers and the feature films they have directed. The site curates films and directors from across Asia and the global Asian diaspora through cultural, generational, and thematic lenses, offering different ways to explore the collection and discover connections within it.

Asian women directors have brought their own voices and perspectives to the screen, contributing both to cinema and to broader social and cultural conversations. By bringing these filmmakers and their work into one place, the archive celebrates each director’s creative vision while recognizing the significance of their work within cinema and beyond.

The current collection includes directors from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, as well as directors of Asian heritage from diaspora communities around the world. Over time, it may expand to include more films, directors, and editorial collections.
